ZOROBABEL otherwise known as Zerubbabel, is an important figure because he was a leader who led the Jews back from exile in Babylon. He was commanded by God, through a prophet, to rebuild Solomon’s magnificent Temple at Jerusalem, which was lying in ruins and was simply rubble.

Zerubbabel is a playful name to pronounce, because part of the name can sound like ‘rubble’, which is relevant here. Try it! Once you’ve got the hang of it you will remember the man responsible for rebuilding the Temple at Jerusalem!
